Garden to Cup Organics was founded on a single vision of bringing you the highest-quality teas in the most sustainable way possible. We are committed to providing teas, herbs and botanicals that promote the health of the environment, the people who farm the land, and the consumers.

Sourcing directly from organic growers in 27 countries, we have built a secure supply chain with relationships forged over decades. For growers, we provide the link to the global market. For wholesalers, specialty manufacturers, and distributors, we are an experienced partner and trusted supplier of teas, herbs and botanicals.

Garden to Cup Organics uses only organic teas, herbs and botanicals sourced directly from the Certified Organic growers around the world. Organic products are grown and processed using strictly regulated agricultural practices and processing methods. They are free from harmful chemicals and genetically-modified ingredients.

Garden to Cup is a proud partner of the first and only CO2 Neutral certified tea estate in the world. We seek Fairtrade certified ingredients whenever possible, and our facility is Kosher Check certified.

Since its inception, Garden to Cup Organics has received over 180 awards at the North American and Global Tea Championships. From each competition, Garden to Cup has emerged as a breakaway winner, with more accolades than any other participant.

At the last three Global Tea Championships Garden to Cup Organics emerged as the most-awarded tea company in the world. One of our teas was ranked as Superior, receiving 96 points, the highest score ever awarded in these competitions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why Organic?

Certified organic foods are grown and processed without the use of toxic chemicals. Strict federal guidelines regulate many factors, among them: soil quality, cultivation methods, pest and weed control, and use of additives. Organic producers rely on natural substances and physical, mechanical or biological farming methods to the fullest extent possible. All Garden to Cup Organics’ teas and botanicals are both USDA Organic and Canada Organic Certified.

What about your conventional (not certified organic) teas?

We do not handle any non-organic conventional teas or botanicals at our facility. Therefore there is no possibility of any accidental cross-contamination.

What certifications does Garden to Cup have?

Garden to Cup Organics is both USDA Organic and Canada Organic certified.
Our facility is Kosher Check certified.
We offer Fair Trade certified teas from India, Sri Lanka and China.
We offer CO2 Neutral certified teas from India.
In addition all our teas are gluten free, dairy free and allergen free.

What additional steps do you take to ensure the integrity of your organic teas?

Most of our teas and botanical ingredients are farm-direct and come with a Transactional Certificate from an international third-party organic authority. Many of our ingredients have the added protection of a Certificate of Analysis from a Canadian accredited third-party lab.

Are your teas free from GMOs (genetically modified organisms)?

All Garden to Cup Organics teas are free from GMOs. The use of genetically modified ingredients is explicitly prohibited under the USDA Organic and Canada Organic regulations.

What are ‘natural flavors’?

Natural flavors are concentrated liquid extracts made from real botanical ingredients. We use organic compliant natural flavors to enhance the tea drinking experience. All of our natural flavors are in compliance with USDA NOP organic standards. We do not use any artificial flavors in any of our teas.

What is the Global Tea Championship?

The Global Tea Championship® is an independent, international tea competition judged by a panel of renowned tea professionals chosen each time based on their reputation, professionalism and extensive cupping experience. Each season GTC draws entries from the best tea companies throughout the world.
Since the very first GTC competition, Garden to Cup Organics has been consistently emerging as the most awarded tea company in the world with over 120 accolades to date. In addition, Garden to Cup Organics has been consistently a breakaway winner at North American Tea Championships, winning 61 awards.

What are your pyramid tea bags made of?

Our bio-pyramid tea bags are BPA free, made of biodegradable polylactide (PLA) derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, cassava roots, or starch.

What are your tea filters made of?

Our drawstring filters are made of sustainable manila hemp, also known as abacá, a relative of a banana plant. They are unbleached, biodegradable and compostable.

What is Direct Trade tea?

Exceptional teas begin on the farm. This is why we deal directly with the growers to ensure the quality of the product. Every year we spend weeks-upon-weeks cultivating relationships and forging partnerships to bring the world’s finest teas at the fairest price possible.

What are Garden to Cup’s Sustainability practices?

At Garden To Cup Organics sustainability is a state-of-mind, the way we do business. It is a complete ecosystem that includes the tea plant, the people who grow it, the facilities that processes it, and the methods we use to send the finished products to the consumer. From the organic garden, all the way to your cup, every step is analyzed to maximize benefits and minimize our environmental footprint.

Do you sell bulk?

Yes, we do. We sell by the kilogram, by the case, by the pallet, or by the ocean container.

What if I cannot find a product I want in your catalog?

Garden to Cup Organics has access to over 2,000 certified organic teas and tea related products from around the world.
If you don’t find what you want in our catalog, we may be able to source it for you as a special order.
The minimum order depends on the product.

What is your turnaround time?

If it is a stock tea, it can be as fast as next day delivery or same day pick up. If it is a custom/blended order, and depending on the raw ingredients, times may vary. Please inquire.

How do I place an order and what is the minimum order?
